Ginger Garlic Pak Choy (Bok Choy)

 
2011: Week 1

Ginger Garlic Pak Choy (Bok Choy)
Serves/Makes: 4

1 bunch Pak Choy, chopped
1 Tbsp. Veg. oil (such as grape seed)
2-inch piece Ginger, sliced
1 Tbsp. corn starch, dissolved in 1 cup of water
1 Tbsp. Soy Sauce
Salt, to taste
1/2 Tbsp. Sugar
1 Tbsp. Sesame Oil

Heat skillet or wok. Add oil. Add ginger, and stir fry for half a minute. Add garlic and stir. Add pak choy and toss. Blend corn starch in a little water and set aside. Add soy sauce, salt, sugar and half a cup of water to the skillet and cook. Remove the pak choy and place in a serving bowl. Add cornstarch liquid to the skillet and cook till the sauce thickens. Pour over the pak choy. Drizzle sesame oil and serve hot with cooked rice.
